Product Update: UniPublisher Now Supports WordPress Channel Publishing

WordPress Integration is Now Available

Self-Hosted VPS & Managed Instances · Draft Review and Live Publication Modes

1. Overview

Independent blogs provide lasting value for personal branding, domain authority, and digital autonomy. In practice, however, creators often maintain both an independent site and multiple third-party content channels. Cross-posting long-form research typically involves repetitive formatting, manual image uploads, and multi-tab management.

With this update, UniPublisher integrates WordPress into its local-first creation and multi-channel delivery workflow. Writers can complete composition and asset organization in the desktop client and publish directly to WordPress through authorized credentials, reducing repetitive manual steps.

2. Key Features and Capabilities

FORMATTING
Format and Typography Fidelity
Heading hierarchies, bold text, highlights, blockquotes, syntax-highlighted code blocks, and math formulas maintain structural alignment with WordPress block formats.
MEDIA SYNC
Automatic Image and Cover Synchronization
Locally referenced images are automatically uploaded to your site's media library and linked inline during dispatch. Configured covers are set as featured images.
PUBLISH MODES
Draft and Immediate Publication Modes
Creators can choose to save articles directly to the WordPress draft repository for final editorial review or publish them immediately to live readers.
DATA SECURITY
Hardware-Level Credential Protection
Site credentials are stored locally using operating system keychain facilities (Windows DPAPI / macOS Keychain). Processing occurs on-device without third-party cloud routing.

3. Configuration Guide

1

Open Channel Management

In UniPublisher Desktop, navigate to Settings in the top-right corner, select Channel Management, and choose WordPress from the available channels list.

2

Provide Site URL and Authorization Key

Enter your WordPress website URL (e.g. https://example.com). We recommend generating a dedicated Application Password under your WordPress admin profile (Users → Profile) rather than using your primary account password.

3

Select Target State and Publish

After finishing an article in the local editor, open the publish drawer, select WordPress alongside other target platforms, specify draft or published mode, and initiate synchronization.

4. Technical Requirements and Prerequisites

Compatibility Notice

This integration requires WordPress 5.6 or later (which natively supports Application Passwords) and an accessible REST API interface. If your site employs security plugins or web application firewalls, ensure that authorized requests to /wp-json/wp/v2/ are not blocked.

5. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Are self-hosted WordPress setups on VPS or cloud servers supported?
Yes. Whether hosted on self-managed VPS, cloud containers, control panels, or managed WordPress hosts, sites meeting the version and API requirements are fully supported.
How does WordPress synchronization deduct publishing credits?
In accordance with all supported channels, each successful synchronization to WordPress counts as 1 publishing credit. Requests that fail due to network interruptions or host errors do not consume credits.
What is the advantage of using Application Passwords?
Application Passwords provide a standardized, scoped authentication mechanism. They remain separate from your administrative login credentials and can be revoked individually at any time from your WordPress admin panel.
